Fervent Prayer: The Power of Repentance #2

Fervent Prayer: The Power of Repentance #2

3 years ago 0 Comments
Repentance is agreeing with God that I (and my family) have committed the sin (iniquity or transgression) He is highlighting to me and I (or we) am (or are) guilty; asking for His mercy and forgiveness; and asking for His cleansing from that sin (iniquity or transgression); and receiving grace to walk in the righteousness of God. Isaiah 53:5

As discussed in the last prayer broadcast, a heart-felt, focused, passionate repentance can nullify, sever and destroy negative patterns from your life. Repentance is a powerful weapon of spiritual warfare. In this broadcast, we will continue our discussion on repentance with focus on a 360-degree (or full-circle) repentance, which is asking God for forgiveness, totally forgiving and releasing the people (and their families) that did to us the same thing we are asking God to forgive us (and our families), and asking for forgiveness from the people (and their families) we did the same thing we are asking God to forgive us (and our families). You can do a full-circle repentance in the presence of God wherever you are, whether the people involved are there with you or not.

Matthew 6:12-13a TPT

Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us. Rescue us every time we face tribulation and set us free from evil.

Matthew 5:7 NKJV

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

1 John 1:8-10 TPT

If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth.  But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we claim that we’re not guilty of sin when God uncovers it with his light, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.
